A Monster Christmas is a Huge Hit

North Pointe’s original, A Monster Christmas, has become the most watched theatrical performance at North Pointe. From the horse-drawn carriage entrance to the fireworks ending, audience members packed into the outdoor plaza theatre all week for the showing of North Pointe’s original production of the classic, A Christmas Carol. This year’s genre of the story of Scrooge was Monsters. The finale featured a combination of 1st and 6th period High School Theatre classes. Sarah Bickley, playing the Scrooge character Elizabeth, turned in another awesome performance.

A Monster Christmas Third Show

Another great night for Monster Christmas, and an encore performance for 3rd hour theater! It was another strong performance for Kaitlyn Kief, Shayla Lam, and Melissa Mena, from advanced choir as well. The three have stunned every night with their beautifully arranged rendition of You’re a Mean One Mister Grinch. The dancers once again delighted audiences especially when Oceana Jurasin, Mieja Levy, and Valeria Nuno Medina popped out of the presents during the opening number, All I Want for Christmas is You.

A Monster Christmas Opening Night

A Monster Christmas opened Tuesday night to a packed outdoor plaza theatre! Audience members enjoyed an original Christmas Carol story, horse and carriage rides, delicious churros, and performances by dance, choir, percussion, band, and 3rd period theater class.  Chloe Smith did a great job taking the audience on a journey through the past, present, and future in the lead role of Elizabeth Scott (Ebenezer Scrooge) and the students from Canyon and Pinnacle were excited to meet the play’s original Monsters, portrayed by Kris Antwan, Ovid Murray, and Lauren Hutchison, after the show. Choir, band, and percussion were able to demonstrate their musical prowess and the dance classes shined as bright as their bedazzled sneakers!
