Congratulations to the Speech and Debate Team who had 13 members advance to semi-finals at the Division II State Speech and Debate Championships. Special congratulations to Bryan Aguilar-Quintero who came away with his first State Championship in Prose Interpretation. “I am so proud of all of his hard work that he has put in this year,” said Coach Richards. “Bryan has been consistently in the top 5 at every tournament this year, this was a great way to complete is last year of competition.” Sophomore Kaitlyn Kief placed second in both of her events, Poetry Interpretation and Duo Interpretation, with her partner Daniel Mena. Vincent Jasso was a second place finisher in Congressional debate as well as a 6th place award winner in Impromptu Speaking. Alexander Haw and Violet Helfich combined in Duet Acting and finished 5th and Alex added a 4th place finish in Programmed Oral Interpretation.
