HS Speech & Debate at Lost Dutchman at Red Mountain HS

The Prep’s Speech and Debate team kicked off the regulation season of competition at Red Mountain High School. Congratulations to the winners,  as well as to the newest members of the team, who were enthusiastic and learned what it takes to be a champion. Junior, Vincent Jasso led the team by placing 2nd in congressional debate, 2nd in impromptu and by advancing to semi-finals in a tough extemporaneous field. Junior,  Amy Lavelle placed in two of her three events; she placed 4th in Prose Interpretation and 6th in Congressional Debate. Senior, Bryan Quintero added his first award, by placing 3rd in Prose Interpretation.  Sophomore, Kaitlyn Kief was the highest placing underclassman, as she placed 2nd in Poetry Interpretation. Junior, Daniel Mena added a 4th place in  Poetry Interpretation to cap off a great two days of speech and debate competition.
